Danmarks Nationalbank has appointed Signe Krogstrup as the new Assistant Governor and Head of Economics and Monetary Policy.
Signe Krogstrup earned her PhD in international economics from the Graduate Institute, Geneva. She also holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen. Dr Krogstrup has extensive experience in economic research and monetary policy. She comes from a position as adviser and member of senior management in the research department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). From 2007 to 2016, Signe worked at Swiss National Bank.
"I am very pleased that Signe Krogstrup will come to Denmark and be the new head of department”, said Governor Lars Rohde of Danmarks Nationalbank. “Signe has a strong international profile with a unique background and base of experience and she has a strong understanding of the relation between the real economy and the financial markets. I am very confident that Signe will contribute to the further strengthening of Danmarks Nationalbank's analytical profile. I look forward to working together with her".
