CIES Represented at Fifth World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists

Istanbul, Turkey June 28 – July 2 2014

CIES’ Researchers Joelle Noailly, Martina Bozzola and Jules Wurlod presented their research at the Fifth World Congress of Environmental and Resources Economics, jointly organized by the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE) and the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE), in cooperation with the East Asian Association of Environmental and Resource Economics (EAAERE). The Congress took place in Istanbul, Turkey.
Joelle Noailly presented “MULTINATIONAL FIRMS AND THE INTERNATIONAL DIFFUSION OF GREEN TECHNOLOGIES: AN ANALYSIS OF INNOVATION OFFSHORING USING PATENT DATA”, Jules Wurlod presented “CONSUMER CHOICE AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES: A FIELD EXPERIMENT COMPARING LABELS, SUBSIDIES AND BANS ACROSS DIFFERENT PRODUCTS “ a paper co-authored with Bruno Lanz, Research Associate at CIES. Martina Bozzola presented “A RICARDIAN ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON ITALIAN AGRICULTURE”, a paper coauthored with Emanuele Massetti, Robert Mendelsohn and Fabian Capitanio.
With over 1000 Environmental and Resources economists registered, the WCERE has been an exciting opportunity to meet colleagues from all around the world, present and debate frontier research.
