Neus Torbisco-Casals, AHCD Senior Research Fellow and Visiting Professor in International Law at the Graduate Institute, has just published her piece “The legitimacy of international courts: The challenge of diversity” in the Journal of Social Philosophy. Drawing from her work in the SNF project “Diversity on the International Bench”, Dr. Neus Torbisco-Casals engages with the debates on democracy and diversity for the legitimacy of international courts, arguing for a more normative and democratically engaged conceptualization of representation and diversity in the international judiciary.
