Professor Elisabeth Pruegl spoke at the Swissnex-hosted launch of the Institute’s 23rd alumni chapter in Boston.
Despite the best efforts of Mother Nature to bury the entire northeast of the United States in snow, numerous alumni from various fields of academia, finance and entrepreneurship gathered on the evening of 28 January to celebrate the first new founding in 2015.
The keynote speaker, Prof. Elisabeth Pruegl, former Deputy Director of the Graduate Institute, Director of the Programme on Gender and Global Change, and current WAPP Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, provided a window into the rapidly evolving profile of the Graduate Institute. Her speech was followed by lively discussions with attendees on the Institute’s past, present, and proposed future.
Spanning a period of more than 50 years, the diversity of the Institute’s New England area alumni who were present provided an excellent atmosphere for the discussion. The event was gratefully supported and hosted by Swissnex.
Coupled with the recent launch of a dual-master’s programme offered in partnership between the Institute and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, the foundation of a Boston Alumni Chapter further enhances the profile and presence of the Institute in this New England hub of research and innovation.
