Barrie Sander Awarded Young Scholar Prize of 2018

The Editorial Board of the International and Comparative Law Quarterly (ICLQ) announced Dr Barrie Sander as the 2018 recipient of the Young Scholar Prize. He won the award for his article, “History on Trial: Historical Narrative Pluralism Within and Beyond International Criminal Courts”.

The Editorial Board of the International and Comparative Law Quarterly (ICLQ) announced Dr Barrie Sander as the 2018 recipient of the Young Scholar Prize. He won the award for his article, “History on Trial: Historical Narrative Pluralism Within and Beyond International Criminal Courts”. 

The Young Scholar Prize is awarded annually to the best article by a scholar aged 35 or under at the time of submission, and is generously supported by the Cambridge University Press, which publishes the ICLQ. In addition to the award, Dr Sander will receive £250 worth of his choice of books published by Cambridge University Press.

He will receive the Prize during the ICLQ’s Annual Lecture, to be held 13 May. Presenting the award will be Professor Panos Koutrakos of City University London.

Dr Sander earned his PhD in International Law from the Graduate Institute in 2017. He also developed "Just Innovate", out of which Collaborate for Social Impact (C4SI) was born. C4SI is an "experiential education programme, which challenges students and young professionals to engage innovatively with pressing social issues".
