ARP Drop In Clinic: Dr. Belhadj-Klaz and Dr. Ruysschaert Discuss Impactful Presentations for Policy Audiences and Next Steps

This semester Dr Claudia Seymour has been hosting an ARP Drop In Clinic which includes conversations with practitioners and students. One of the recent sessions included a special discussion on 25 March 2025 with Dr. Belhadj-Klaz and Dr. Ruysschaert who discussed: Impactful Presentations for Policy Audiences and Next Steps: Diverse Approaches to Disseminating Findings

Through the ARP Drop In Clinic,  our guests have been chatting about ARP struggles and illuminations and the engaging dialogue has been inspiring throughout the semester on a weekly basis – every Tuesday of the month. Guests have included in-house faculty and external guests. Students have had the opportunity to attend and gain further insights from partners and collaborate with each other, as students have been attending often as individuals from groups or the entirety of a group.

On 25 March 2025 Dr. Belhadj-Klaz and Dr. Ruysschaert were two of the special guests, who presented and discussed with students: Impactful Presentations for Policy Audiences and Next Steps: Diverse Approaches to Disseminating Findings

This ARP Session, in particular, aimed to support students in two ways. Firstly, to develop a clear and compelling presentation of their ARP project. This is a direct support for their final presentation to the partner at the end of April 2025. Secondly, to reflect on how to disseminate the research results after the ARP is completed in order to maximise the impact of their work. After a short presentation of the topic, students were invited to develop their own high-impact presentation and dissemination strategy.

Principally, students were able to benefit from the support of two faculty leaders with decades of experience in developing an impactful presentation and dissemination strategy for NGOs, governments, academia, and the United Nations.
