Alumnus to Contribute to Ghana Development

Emmanuel Oteng Kumah was named among the Ghana Infrastructure Fund Advisory Committee.

The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, recently selected a group of experts to head the Ghana Infrastructure Fund Advisory Committee tasked with alleviating the country’s infrastructure deficit to lead the way to job creation economic growth.

Emmanuel Oteng Kumah, who earned a PhD from the Institute in 1985, was named among the six-member committee.

Previously, Dr Emmanuel Oteng Kumah held various high profile roles at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for 25 years, including IMF Resident Representative in Djibouti and Deputy Division Chief at the Balance of Payments and External Debt Division. He retired from the IMF in 2012 as a Division Chief of the Resource Management Division in Washington DC.

In addition to his position on the newly formed committee Emmanuel Oteng Kumah now serves as a Consultant to the IMF and Independent Member of the Board of the Standard Chartered Ghana Limited Bank.
