We are pleased to announce that the 2024 edition of the Geneva Policy Outlook is now online!
The Geneva Policy Outlook (GPO) is a critical strategic partnership initiative for the Geneva Graduate Institute, developed in partnership with the Republic and State of Geneva, the City of Geneva and the Fondation pour Genève. It has grown into a network of around 150 senior policy makers working in Geneva’s global policy sphere. For the Institute, the GPO reinforces its role as “pioneer in the exploration of global issues”.
In times of rapid change and radical uncertainty, Geneva needs to reflect on how it remains a relevant global governance hub, more than ever before. As a finger on the pulse of Geneva’s global policy space, the 2024 Geneva Policy Outlook gathers a selection of 16 articles (in English, French and German) aimed to shape these reflections and to accelerate collaborative responses to global challenges. By providing forward-looking perspectives, it provides analysis grounded in experience and expertise on upcoming strategic and operational trends relevant for professionals working on global affairs in Geneva and beyond.
The 2024 edition of the Geneva Policy Outlook includes a handful of articles by Geneva Graduate Institute professors Andrew Clapham, Suerie Moon, Claire Somerville, and Mark Zeitoun, addressing topics from gender trade-offs in multilateral negotiations, the weaponisation of water in Gaza, global governance of pandemics, and human rights and war.
