The photo exhibition
The exhibition " España con otro enfoque " (Spain through a different lens), by Rodolfo Romero , is an invitation to discover Spain's natural, artistic and cultural heritage. Above all, it is an invitation to reflect on our environment and to appreciate the wealth that surrounds us.
The competition
Against this backdrop, Palabras+ and the Association of Spanish International Civil Servants (AFIE), in collaboration with the fab, are organizing the photography competition " Geneva through a different lens " to welcome students and invite them to portray Geneva, their home for the coming months/years, through their own lens.
PARTICIPANTS AND JURY
The competition is open to all students enrolled at the Graduate Institute in September 2024, regardless of the duration of their study programme and their stay in Geneva. Rodolfo Romero will choose the winning images. Photographers Fernando Beberide and Fernando Barroso will also participate in the selection of images.
EXHIBITION AND AWARDS CEREMONY
The exhibition " España con otro enfoque " will open on 1 November 2024 at The Fab and will run until 25 November 2024. The opening ceremony will take place on the afternoon of 1 November (14.00 at the Fab). The three photographs found to have the most original approach will be announced at the ceremony, and all photographs submitted for the competition will be projected.
All profits from the sale of photographs from the exhibition " España con otro enfoque " will be donated to the "¡En el aire!" charity project. Through it, Palabras+ supports arts and science education for students of Uruguay's Clemente Estable School Nº54. More information at https://afie.es/uruguay/ .
