Lowri Angharad Rees is the focal point for Women’s Economic Empowerment at UN Women’s Geneva Office, covering processes and partnerships related to trade, employment and the world of work, sustainable development, and innovation and technology. She is currently serving as coordinator of the substantive preparations for the 67th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, which will have as its priority theme: Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
The purpose of the TechSec coffee chat series is to bring in experts, practitioners, researchers and other great thinkers to offer IHEID students networking opportunities and insights about the forefront of digital technologies and policymaking.
