This celebratory event will launch the new book, “Social Justice and the World of Work: Possible Global Futures”, edited by Brian Langille and Anne Trebilcock in honour of Francis Maupain, Former ILO Legal Adviser and Special Adviser to the ILO Director-General.
In the book, authoritative commentators examine the lessons revealed by the pandemic and other global shocks for our ideas about justice at work, and how to advance that cause in the world as we now find it. Building on these foundations, our eminent guests will discuss the rising challenges for the future of the ILO and new avenues of thought and action required to face them.
Join us to explore the new dimensions - in particular environmental- of social justice at work and beyond, and the challenge they raise for the multilateral system and its sustainability, and benefit from Francis Maupain’s unique experience and views to provide an input and compass for a lively debate around the ILO institutional potential to help meet this challenge.
