RESEARCH FESTIVAL AT THE GRADUATE INSTITUTE

Join us for an afternoon dedicated to showcasing the depth, creativity, and collaborative spirit of research at the Institute. The festival brings together students, faculty, and researchers for an engaging program of interactive exhibits, dynamic discussions, and inspiring exchanges.

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM, P1-N4 | Open Fair & Networking

 

  • Explore research happening at the institute through booths, posters, and interactive exhibits.
  • Network with students, faculty, and researchers in an informal setting and ice-breakers.
     

1:30 PM – 2:15 PM, S12 | Funding Instruments and Collaborative Strategies

 

  • Presentation by the Research Office on funding opportunities, collaboration strategies, and research impact.
  • Discussion on collaborative research funding opportunities between centers.
     

2:15 PM – 3:00 PM, S12 | Collaborative Research Projects

 

Spotlight on select collaborative research projects:

  • Project 1: "Caring to survive, surviving to care: Gendered survival practices, social reproduction and circuits of violence in Ukraine" Elisabeth Prügl
  • Project 2:"Critical Minerals and the Clean Energy Transition" Joëlle Noailly
  • Project 3: "Making Trade Agreements Work in the Service of Society" Joost Pauwelyn

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM, The fab | Geopolitical Turmoil: Opportunities for Collaborative Research

 

Centres' directors will discuss the impact of current geopolitical disruptions on the Institute’s research centres and explore the opportunities or needs for collaborative research going forward.
 

4:00 PM – 4:45 PM, S12 | Research & photography workshop

 

4:45 PM – 6:00 PM, P1-N4 | Reception & Photo Competition Award Ceremony

 

  • Special address by Director of Research Grégoire Mallard,
  • Announcement of the Photo Competition winners, by Julie Billaud (jury president),
  • Musical performance by the Graduate Institute's Music Initiative,
  • Social gathering with light refreshments to celebrate the festival.
