Private sector actors have been increasingly engaging in addressing the challenges faced in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) – ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all. With the global education landscape evolving rapidly, the engagement of private entities in education has expanded beyond traditional boundaries. From privatisation of education service provision, philanthropic giving, and corporate social responsibility mandates to public-private partnerships and for-profit investment through innovative financing models like impact bonds, impact-linked loans, and social impact incentives, the spectrum of private sector involvement in education is broad and dynamic. This event aims to dissect these varied dimensions through dialogue with expert researchers and practitioners.
Join NORRAG in a hybrid event that engages experts in a dialogue on the role private actors play in addressing access to inclusive and equitable quality education. This event will serve as a platform to explore the multifaceted involvement of private actors in the education sector, highlighting the diversity in their roles, approaches, and engagement in achieving education for all. Expert panellists will not only shed light on the diversity of private actors engaged with SDG4 but will also explore the diversity in their approaches to engagement in the education sector, spanning finance, provision, and policy dialogue. This event will underscore the significance of cross-sectoral collaboration in education, and the need for coherent strategies that align private-sector initiatives with public education goals.
This event will be held in English. Due to technical issues, interpretation and translated closed captioning cannot be provided. The recording will be made available, with translated closed captions after the event.
