Workshop description 

Following her lecture in the IRPS departmental colloquium (entitled: Sex and the Production of State Borders), Professor Laura Sjoberg will direct a PhD thesis-writing workshop. The workshop aims at providing scholars working in a critical/feminist tradition with the opportunity to discuss core aspects of thesis writing in this tradition specifically.

To do so it will broach general issues revolving around the formulation of research questions, theoretical contributions, and methodologies in a critical tradition. But the workshop is primarily geared to discuss their implication for what it means to write a PhD /communicate about PhD projects. The workshop endeavors to connect directly to the dissertation project of the participants.

Professor Sjoberg will therefore take the thesis projects of the participants as her point of departure. The workshop can accommodate no more than ten participants. To participate please sign up here. Registration closes on Monday 23 March 2020.
