Amidst the backdrop of the increasing funding crises of the UN system, a palpable sense of operational uncertainty hangs over International Geneva. The enduring financial challenges encountered by international organisations serve as a reminder of the mounting strain on the multilateral system.
Join us for the public launch event of the study on Paying for Multilateralism: Taking Stock on the Financing of International Organisations in Geneva, 2000-2020 by Livio Silva-Muller and Remo Gassmann. Produced by the Geneva Graduate Institute, the study stands as a significant contribution to the study of international organisations and the discussions on the adaptation of International Geneva to new world orders. The study was made possible with the generous support of the Republic and State of Geneva.
Presentation of the key findings of the study:
- Livio Silva-Muller, co-author of the study and PhD Researcher in Anthropology and Sociology, Geneva Graduate Institute
A panel discussion will then reflect on how to enhance financial resilience and ensure the long-term viability of International Geneva as a hub for global governance.
