A lunch time talk with

Ghislaine Weder (Chief Economist of Nestle) and
Owen Bethel (Environmental Impact Lead Global Public Affairs of Nestle)

“Solving the problem means identifying the problem. We found Nestlé emitted 92 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions in 2018. Now we know the extent, we know the road ahead.” Nestle Roadmap to Net Zero

Add to Calendar

Nestle is a giant in the global food production and distribution. By the same token, it also has a giant carbon footprint: when including all greenhouse gas emissions in its global supply chain they add up to more than double the carbon footprint of Switzerland.

Nestle has committed to reducing its emissions to Net Zero by 2050 and has published a roadmap on
how it intends to do this. This lunch time talk will be an opportunity to discuss this ambition, the
obstacles it faces and the opportunities it presents.

Participants should read the roadmap in advance.
