Eleven internationally recognised filmmakers have joined forces to raise awareness on the most pressing environmental issues and the effects of climate change, recognised as some of the biggest challenges of our times, by contributing to a unique film composed by eleven short-movies. These aim to highlight the urgent need to reduce environmental damage and to preserve our natural resources, in respect for our life on this Planet.

Introductory remarks: 

  • Jacqueline Coté, Director of Public Relations, the Graduate Institute, Geneva

  • Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General, United Nations Geneva

  • Christian Frutiger, Ambassador, Head of Global Cooperation, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation

The Geneva Premiere of Interdependence (2019, in English, 100 minutes) will be followed by an exchange both in English and French with:

  • Adelina von Fürstenberg, President a.i, Art For the World, Producer of Interdependence

  • Daniel Maselli, Senior Policy Advisor and Focal Point, SDC Water Network

  • Bettina Oberli, one of the filmmakers of the film Interdependence

  • Francesco Pisano, Director of the Library, United Nations Geneva (moderator)

This special event is organised in partnership with the United Nations Office at Geneva and Art for the World.   

A reception will follow the event thanks to the support of the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in Geneva and the Permanent Mission of Iceland to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Entry is free, however seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
