This session will deal with the much-awaited judgment of the ICC Appeals Chamber in the Jordan Referral re Al-Bashir Appeal, rendered on 6 May 2019.
The topics of discussion will be issues relating to, inter alia, the immunity of senior state officials from foreign criminal jurisdiction, the identification of rules of customary international law, treaty interpretation, the interpretation of UN Security Council resolutions and the obligations of states as regards cooperation with the International Criminal Court.
The panel will be composed of:

- Alfredo Crosato, PhD candidate in international law and teaching assistant at the Graduate Institute (as moderator)
