After a consistent decline over decades, the rate of malaria infections is on the rise again, threatening the hard-fought progress globally. Ending malaria is critical to achieving not only SDG target 3.3, but also other goals, including SDGs 1 Zero Hunger, 2 Less Poverty, 5 Gender equality and 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth. Therefore the political will to continue investing in public health needs to be sustained. This panel discussion, held to mark the 10th World Malaria Day, will explore the challenges and ways forward in reaching the 2030 SDG Goal of ending the epidemic.

The event will be preceded by an art installation and ceremony at the Place des Nations at 16:00, a short walking distance from Maison de la Paix, and followed by a networking reception.
