The interactive workshop "How does Swiss Democracy work?" will be rescheduled to a later date. We apologise for this change and we will inform you as soon as we have the new date.

This is a dedicated activity for the Graduate Institute’s students, staff and research community.

This interactive workshop with Marceau Schroeter will enable participants to discover and discuss objects, spaces and subjects of Swiss democracy.

As the characters of Marceau Schroeter’s book “Au cœur de la démocratie suisse”, participants will follow through the processes leading to the voting of an initiative or a referendum.

Vice-versa, the workshop is the co-creation activity of an English version of that book.

The insights and questions of participants will feed Marceau’s writing process. Participants will be invited to join a second gathering a few weeks later where Marceau will follow up on the leads that emerged. That second activity will be defined with the participants themselves based on their ideas and availability.

The workshop includes a networking lunch and participants will receive a free copy of Marceau’s book (in French).

The workshop will take place in English.

To register, please email democracy@graduateinstitute.ch as the number of places is limited, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
