How to Communicate and Engage in International Relations and Political Science

Following the IRPS Exhibit , the IRPS Department will host a roundtable discussion on effective communication and engagement in international relations and political science. This will be followed by a small apéro on the department floor (6th floor, Pétale 2, Maison de la Paix).

 

SPEAKers

 

Emoke Bebiak     

Emoke Bebiak leads Right Livelihood's Communications team from the organisation's Geneva office. As Head of Communications, she drives strategic media relations, focusing on connecting with English-speaking and international press outlets to amplify the work of Right Livelihood Laureates. Previously, Emoke worked as a correspondent for the German Press Agency (dpa), where she covered global institutions such as the United Nations in New York, and the European Union and NATO in Brussels. Her career has also taken her to Johannesburg and Washington, DC, where she reported on global developments. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri, a Master’s in Human Rights from the Global Campus of Human Rights, and a Bachelor's degree from Ithaca College.

Pierre-Etienne Bourneuf

Pierre-Etienne Bourneuf is a Scientific Advisor at the Institutional Memory Section of the UN Library & Archives Geneva. He worked for the project “100 Years of Multilateralism in Geneva” and took part in the Total Digital Access to the League of Nations Archives Project (LONTAD), which digitized and provided online access to the entirety of the League of Nations archives. Pierre-Etienne curated the UN Museum Geneva's permanent exhibition and authored several publications on the history of the League of Nations and multilateralism. He regularly collaborates in public events and outreach initiatives, such as the online series HiStories produced by the UN Library & Archives Geneva.
