Networking Apéro | 14:00, Interpetal
This high-level panel discussion on agroecology in partnership with FAO brings together students, practitioners, researchers and experts to discuss the agroecological approach to agri-food systems. It will highlight the international framework, practical implementations, the right to food, the social movement, feminist perspectives and more.
About the event
This event will focus on agroecology, which is a particularly interesting angle to approach the topic of agrifood systems, given its use in development and cooperation and its interdisciplinary nature. As such, it is linked to several courses offered by the Graduate Institute, which touch on topics such as human rights (United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Peasants (UNDROP), United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), right to food...), development, cooperation, women's empowerment, agrarian change, family farming, sustainability and conservation, One Health, social finance, and more.
In addition, an informative discussion that introduces the concept of agroecology to newcomers, presents practical tools and provides new inputs to those already familiar with it, will enable the creation of a co-learning space between students, practitioners, researchers and experts".
After the event, participants are invited to a networking aperitif at Interpetal at 2 pm to enjoy local snacks and drinks and fruitful conversations with the various speakers, practitioners and fellow students.
