BHUPINDER CHIMNI

There is an emerging consensus that an integrated approach is called for to deal with the global refugee crisis. The lecture will attempt to identify from this standpoint some academic, political, legal and institutional initiatives, reforms, and responses.

Dr. B.S.Chimni is former Professor of International Law, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has over the years attempted to articulate a third world approach to international refugee law. His publications include International Refugee Law: A Reader.

Professor Chimni is visiting professor at the International Law Department at the Graduate Institute and Senior Fellow at the Global Migration Centre.
