This research workshop is the first meeting of the Expert Group for Global Governance Centre’s project on Governing Plastic: The Global Political Economy and Regulation of Plastic Production and Pollution.

The purpose of the workshop is to launch collaboration on the project’s research agenda. The meeting will include a review of existing literature and the policy landscape and in-depth discussion of outlines and research questions on thematic areas of research.  An overview of the project can be found here.

The event is co-hosted by the Global Governance Centre, UNCTAD, University of Italian Switzerland (Lugano), HES-SSO and the University of Geneva. It is part of the research project supported by the Swiss Network of International Studies
