Addressing the climate crisis should lead to the intentional, controlled and sustained reduction of greenhouse gases. Above all, it should lead to improved wellbeing, rather than suffering and exclusion. How can the ecological transition become a project to be democratically designed throughout, with cities, buildings and landscapes actively participating in a zero-carbon, equitable society?
