The Geneva Challenge, supported by Ambassador Jenö Staehelin, invites teams of graduate students from around the world to devise innovative and pragmatic solutions to key international issues. This eighth edition asked students to address the complex issues arising from crisis management and how to tackle these challenges in order to foster a holistic global and local development.
The five finalist teams, one per continent, will present and defend their projects in front of the jury members:
- Asia: DAAN: Connecting concepts and paving a food secure Philippines
- North America/ Oceania: BuyBy
- Europe: ARDE' - How to manage climate change crisis one meal at a time
- Africa: Wadaba - Water Data Bank
- Latin America: Motirõ São Paulo: The Learning Network for Crisis Response
Each presentation will be followed by a session of Q&A with the audience.
The oral presentations will be followed by an Award Ceremony at 18:30 with a keynote speech by the eminent economist, author and global leader in sustainable development, Professor Jeffrey Sachs.
