The student and research community at the Geneva Graduate Institute has been exploring the question of technology since its inception because of the prominent role that technologies have played in the history of international relations. Technological change brings with it many opportunities, but also new threats.

While for too long the domain and prerogative of computer scientists, it is clear that the social sciences and humanities have an important role to play in reflecting on the social, environmental, and economic dynamics that frame and construct the development of technologies, as well as their regulation and governance.

These brown bag lunch meetings are primarily for MINT and ARP students whose thesis and ARP topics are related to technologies. It is a safe space to ask questions, share resources and identify contacts that could be useful for their thesis and research.

However, we also welcome all members of the community who are interested in the topic of technology in international relations.

You will find more information on all tech-related courses, projects and news at the Institute here.
