On this World AIDS Day, the Global Health Centre at the Graduate Institute in Geneva is hosting an event organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS) to discuss lessons learned and the way forward to ending the HIV epidemic. Join the IAS for a  panel conversation with policy and programme experts to learn about the key actions needed for a sustainable and effective HIV response – at the global, regional and local levels.

Panel discussion with:

  • "Achieving HIV epidemic control globally – where are we at?" - Peter Godfrey-Faussett, Senior Advisor (Science), UNAIDS

  • "Epidemic control in Switzerland: A focus on the first '90' " - Heide Jimenez Davila, President, Groupe sida Genève

  • "The role of drug policies in the context of the HIV epidemic" - Michel Kazatchkine, Member of the Global Commission on Drug Policy; Senior Fellow, Global Health Centre, Graduate Institute

  • "Epidemic Control: Considering Community" - David Traynor, Advisor, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
