The Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy (AHCD) invites doctoral students and affiliated faculty across the Institute for a Meet and Greet on 10 October. Come discover AHCD’s interdisciplinary activities geared towards doctoral students and, more broadly, to students and researchers who wish to engage with colleagues and peers!
This meet and greet will be an opportunity to connect with each other as the year begins, and to discuss the Centre’s activities geared towards the PhD community. Among others, the Centre offers a bi-annual colloquium series during which students can present work in progress and receive feedback from colleagues and faculty.
Inspired by Albert O. Hirschman, who is recognised as one of the great interdisciplinary social scientists of the postwar era, the AHCD PhD programme explores with students how to build an interdisciplinary community. Each event is designed to facilitate cross-disciplinary conversation on issues that are substantially related to democratic theory and practices.
To attend and/or register for the dedicated mailing list about these activities, please register HERE This event will be offered in hybrid format.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The venue and other logistical information will be communicated in the confirmation email.
