Discover the benefits of HEART COHERENCE

A few minutes of daily coherence practice can reinforce the feeling of self-regulation capacity, that can be valuable for students or employees of the Graduate Institute.

The Heart Coherence is a particular state of harmony between the body, the mind, and the emotions. It can be reached by practicing specific, simple yet powerful techniques (breathing and more).

These techniques can have very interesting effects on:

  • Stress reduction
  • Cognitive capacities (attention, memory)
  • Emotional balance
  • Anxiety
  • Sleep quality

During this workshop, participants will get information about the link between the heart and the brain, and practice exercises to learn how to achieve this self-regulation of the heart-brain state.

Modern Jazz Class at the GM Rooftop

Jazz dance is a style born in the United States out of a mix of African and European traditional dances (especially ballet). Overtime, jazz dance incorporated many other styles and today’s modern jazz is as diverse as the number of schools teaching it. Our modern jazz class will have a Brazilian version of the dance and will consist of a 90 min beginners class, with a combination of exercises and choreographies. Together, we will explore creative ways to move, energise and stretch our bodies.

This is a beginner’s class - no prior experience in dancing or preparation is required! For the class, please wear comfortable clothing in which you can easily move, bend and stretch. For shoes feel free to bring ballet slippers (if you have any), a pilates sock or regular socks.

Note : If you have any medical conditions in ankles, knees or feet that require more stable footwear, please bring sneakers.
