Michael M. Kubayanda Named Vice Chairman of U.S. Postal Regulatory Commission

In a unanimous decision, the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) voted to designate Commissioner Michael M. Kubayanda as Vice Chairman. He will serve out the remainder of a six-year term set to expire November 22, 2020. Mr Kubayanda holds degrees from Georgetown University, Northwestern University and the Ohio State University. In 2014, he participated in a Summer Programme on the World Trade Organization (WTO), International Trade and Development at the Graduate Institute.

Mr Kubayanda is one of three Commissioners recently nominated to the PRC by President Donald J. Trump and confirmed by the United States Senate. As an independent federal agency, the PRC’s role is to provide regulatory oversight over the U.S. Postal Service to ensure the transparency and accountability of the service.
