Scholarship Terms and Conditions

DPP & DPP Conflict

Participants hereby acknowledge that they are scholarship recipients, and as such, are aware that their financial contribution only covers a part of the total costs (25'000 CHF). The funds for the remaining tuition and logistical costs come from the programme's donors with specific use, conditions, and compliance. Therefore, participants renounce claiming any reimbursement from their contribution to the tuition fees of the programme.

Participants personally commit themselves to ensuring compliance with the following points in the framework of their Executive Diploma in Development Policies and Practices at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.

They undertake to:

  • be present and punctual at all sessions, and understand that during Modules 1, 2 and 3, all absences must be justified (absence due to illness to be supported by, for example, a medical certificate);

  • strictly comply with the programme deadlines regarding submission of assignments, examinations, progress reports, etc.

They understand that:

  • in the case of “force majeure”, requests to submit documents beyond the deadline may be exceptionally considered by the academic coordinator if: a) the request is made at least 5 days before the deadline; b) the request is justified with a note from their line manager or a relevant person.

  • The decision whether to grant authorisation to delay submission rests with the staff of the DPP; requests submitted on the day of the deadline will not be considered.

  • Answer expeditiously all and any emails and requests emanating from the regional academic coordinators or administrative officers during the 3 modules.

  • Personally carry out the assignments required during the programme, and eschew plagiarism.

  • Cheating and plagiarism are not tolerated (see Article 5 – Cheating and Plagiarism; Study Regulations).

Violation of these rules authorises the DPP management to impose whatever sanctions it may deem necessary, including eventual dismissal from the programme.

Should participants be sanctioned “first warning”, they will receive an official notification to this effect, and that failure to heed any eventual “second warning” will result in their dismissal from the programme.

Participants accept the rules, and are aware of the consequences in the case of violation thereof.
