The Barton Sequoia Houses

Located in the public park of the Villa Barton estate, by the lakeshore, the four guesthouse tree house pavilions offer “short stay” room accommodations for up to 3 months (88 nights) in the heart of a more than a century-old forest of protected California redwoods. The pavilions form a cluster of hidden bungalows amidst century-old trees and greenery. Built by the architectural firm André and Francis Gaillard in 1961 and listed in the inventory of Geneva’s historical heritage, these pavilions were fully renovated in 2023 as part of the extensive renovation project of the Villa Barton and the Auditorium Jacques-Freymond (AJF). Each pavilion features 3 to 5 bedrooms, along with common living and kitchen areas that are fully furnished and equipped.

The estate is situated on the right bank of the lake, close to international organizations including the World Trade Organization, the World Meteorological Organization, the United Nations, and the famous Botanical Garden. The Geneva Graduate Institute, located at Maison de la Paix, is just a 10-minute walk away.

The site is conveniently served by public transportation (tram + bus) and is close to Cornavin and Sécheron train stations.
