Financial aid for current students

The Institute provides financial aid for students who have demonstrated financial need. The assistance may take the form of full scholarships, partial scholarships and/or tuition fee reductions.

  • Please note that all of our students are required to contribute towards the cost of their education. Therefore, a full tuition fee reduction does not exempt the student from paying the annual solidarity fee of CHF 1,000. This is valid for all students benefiting from any kind of financial aid, including all partial and full scholarships.
  • In the case of doctoral students, the Institute strives to support them financially for the duration of their studies through a combination of scholarships/tuition fee reductions (especially the first year) and teaching or research assistantships (especially in the second year).

Application deadline for current students: May 30th

Students who have received any form of financial assistance from the Institute must re-apply for financial aid for their subsequent year by 30 May at the latest. Applications will be received from 1 April to 30 May.

Students who have not received financial assistance and whose financial situation is very difficult may also apply by completing an online application form and submitting all requested documents by the deadline date of May 30th. Please note that late applications will not be considered. This same application form is valid for current students requesting financial aid for the first time or if they have been refused in the past.
