Reputed for their professionalism, analytic rigour and eagerness to change the world, students and alumni from the Geneva Graduate Institute are top tier candidates for companies, international organisations, non-profits and government agencies seeking interns, junior hires and even senior level recruits. By matching private and public sector employers with highly motivated, skilled students, recent graduates or experienced alumni, our goal is to bring together multidisciplinary expertise and knowledge to tackle the challenges of an increasingly complex and interrelated world.

How did the Institute help build my career? It is really beyond the education. It's that experience, it's that exposure you get here no matter which country you are from. You will have the ability to develop; you will have the ability to maximise your potential to be able to reach out to different organisations. It's there within the curriculum, within that experience, it's there.

ONE, FIVE AND TEN YEARS AFTER GRADUATION

Our surveys of graduates carried out since 2008 show that almost all of the Institute’s students had obtained prior professional or internship experience, often in an international environment, during their studies. After graduation, the average time to secure an academic or professional position for more than 90% of our students was less than four months. While our recent graduates typically favor the public sector, they also remain strongly present in the not-for-profit, private and academic sectors.

ONE YEAR AFTER (CLASS OF 2021 IN 2022)

One year after their graduation, 52% of our graduates choose to stay in Switzerland while the rest went off to work all around the world.

The public sector attracted 36% of them. 64% went to international organisations.

The next most popular sector was the not-for-profit one with 26% of the graduates. 68% of them chose non-governmental organisations working on a diverse range of issues.

The private sector accounted for 21% of our young graduates. 31% of the graduates oriented themselves toward consulting services, followed by small and medium enterprises (SME's), entrepreneurship and start-ups (19%).

The remaining 17% of our graduates either continued their studies towards another master, a PhD or conducted research work as part of an academic institution.
