Allegro Vivace... the Italian Laboratory, for Better or for Worse

Professor Alessandro Monsutti has written an article for Allegralaboratory on the Italian response to Coronavirus.

Professor Alessandro Monsutti, Professor of Anthropology at the Graduate Institute for International and Development, has written an article for Allegralaboratory entitled "Allegro Vivace... the Italian Laboratory, for Better or for Worse".

The article discusses the various political and academic reactions within Italy to the Government's actions in response to the coronavirus crisis. To further elaborate on these responses, Professor Monsutti engages with both Italian historical and philosophical literature.  He concludes:

We need to ask ourselves what society do we want, while being aware of the possibility of both totalitarian surveillance and nationalistic isolation.
