Cédric Tille, Professor, International Economics, Graduate Institute

While economic analyses of gender related issues have increased in scope and rigor in fields such as labour market economics, social and fiscal policies, financial market economics and regulation have remained an exclusive male terrain. In her presentation, Professor Young will discuss the role of the economics profession in shaping current regulatory arrangements, give an overview of the evolution of the global financial architecture and of female exclusion in this process, and explore the gender impacts of financial market regulation. She also will discuss whether the banking stabilization and stimulus packages governments have put in place are disproportionally male.

This lecture is organised by the International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies (ICMB), Geneva, the Pôle Genre et Développement of the Graduate Institute, the Centre d'études et de recherches internationales (CERI) de Sciences Po, Paris and Garnet, a Network of Excellence funded by the E.U.
