Kathryn obtained a Masters degree in Development Studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Prior to her studies at the Graduate Institute, she completed a Bachelor's degree with first class honours in International Relations at Coventry University, England.
While studying in the UK, Kathryn volunteered at an international NGO, helping with design and communications projects. She also traveled to Uganda with a team of volunteers with the purpose of supporting women and children with education and entrepreneurial skills.
Kathryn has a diverse cultural heritage and finds value in visiting family members spread across the world from Trinidad & Tobago, Australia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Finland, the United States of America and Great Britain. It is this breadth of culture that has encouraged her research interest in the migration of people for economic and developmental purposes.
Professionally, Kathryn has experience in Sales and Marketing, and Design and Communications. She is particularly passionate about events organisation and management to facilitate fruitful networks and relationships across different people in society.
