Profile
My dissertation is entitled, "The Politics of Aleppo's Christians and the Formation of the Syrian Nation-State, 1920-1936." I obtained my bachelor's degree in communications and political studies from Dordt University in Sioux Center, IA (US) in 2010, and spent the following year teaching English in Damascus, Syria. From 2011-2014, I worked in Washington, DC, for Christian Solidarity International (CSI). I received my master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago in 2016. English is my mother tongue, I am proficient in Arabic and French, and I have a working knowledge of Armenian.
