Symposium in honour of Professor Lucius Caflisch

Member of the International Law Commission, Emeritus Professor of International Law at the Graduate Institute, Former Legal Advisor  of the Directorate of International Law of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), Former Judge of the European Court of Human Rights.

In collaboration with the Directorate of Public International Law of the FDFA, the Graduate Institute is organising a symposium in honour of Prof. Lucius Caflisch on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

The roundtables will discuss the main areas of interest and research in international law addressed by Prof. Caflisch during his career: international law of spaces, human rights law, the peaceful settlement of international disputes and international criminal law.

Chairs and panellists are distinguished experts from the academic, diplomatic or courts and tribunals fields.

Presentations in English and French without translation.
