An estimated 720,000 people have been displaced inside South Sudan since the current conflict started in December 2013. More than 170,000 people have fled to neighbouring countries. This crisis comes on top of already large-scale humanitarian needs. Over 20 UN agencies, 150 international NGOs and many national NGOS contribute to one of the world’s largest aid operations.

What does this crisis situation imply in terms of coordination and collaboration between humanitarian actors and their relationship with the government and other humanitarian actors?
