In the context of increasingly complex policy challenges and eroding trust in science and public institutions, how can we improve interfaces among researchers, decision makers, and policy practitioners?
This conference will convene up to 100 international representatives from the UN system, academia, civil society and the private sector. It aims to build on the 2016 Strengthening the UN’s research uptake conference organized by the United Nations University and the Graduate Institute, and the report Strengthening policy research uptake in the context of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development by the United Nations’ Joint Inspection Unit.
Welcoming remarks:
Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General, United Nations Office in Geneva
Valentin Zellweger, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations and the other International Organisations in Geneva.
