An expert on the informal economy and the importance of business and property rights, Peruvian economist Hernando de Soto is the President of the Institute for Liberty and Democracy.
Mr de Soto will appear by video-conference from Peru. His presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.
This event forms part of the 2016 Wilhelm Röpke Congress, taking place from 14-16 April 2016, organised in cooperation with the Liberal Institute, the Wilhelm-Röpke-Institut, the Aktionsgemeinschaft Soziale Marktwirtschaft and the Centre de Recherches Civilisations et Identités culturelles comparées, Université de Cergy-Pontoise.
