, -

Maison de la paix, The Graduate Institute | Geneva

Organised by the WHO Gender, Equity and Human Rights team in collaboration with the Global Health Programme.

The discussion is an opportunity to reflect on WHO and States commitment to implement the IHR. It is also a chance to put the right to health and equity at the centre of their preparedness, emergency and recovery responses so that they are addressed from a human rights and not just a humanitarian perspective. The discussion will also remind States of their human rights obligations under international law including the IHR.

Participants will discuss measures to uphold and protect the right to health of affected populations during public health emergencies.
