The Junior Diplomat Initiative Switzerland, created by Graduate Institute students, is hosting an event featuring guest speaker Michael Møller who has been appointed Acting Head of the United Nations Geneva Office in recent weeks.

Michael Møller will engage in an interactive discussion on the changing role of UN diplomats in the multilateral environment and the limitations and advantages of their profession.

Mr Møller most recently served as the Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Cyprus and Director for Political, Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Affairs in the Office of the UN Secretary-General as well as Chief of Staff. He was the Head of the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the UN headquarters in New York. During his career he has held posts in Iran, Mexico, Haiti and Geneva.
