Has Europe, both the EU and the European idea, reached its limits? The current crisis of the EU encapsulated in Brexit, economic stagnation that extends beyond the Eurozone, the rise of populism and the challenge represented by migration puts into question Europe’s self-image as a civilisational model. This colloquium draws on expertise from various fields to debate whether Europe may or may not have exhausted its potential.
