Based on real-life events, The Good Lie tells the story of the Lost Boys of Sudan.
After their village is razed and their parents killed, Theo, his siblings and other orphaned children make the difficult journey to a refugee camp in Kenya.
Thirteen years later, the group is resettled to the US, where they meet Carrie Davis (Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon), a brash mid-westerner. This moving story shows how the group rebuilds their lives, and rediscovers joy.
The special film screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Ger Duany, star of the film, actor, model, former child soldier and new UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
The Q&A will be moderated by Professor Vincent Chetail, Director of the Graduate Institute’s Global Migration Centre.
