Vice President Corporate Responsibility, Lundin Petroleum

Christine Batruch will discuss Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and why it was adopted by Lundin Petroleum. She will explain how the CSR was integrated into Lundin Petroleum's business model and became a tool for the company's growth strategy.

Born in Canada, Christine Batruch is a graduate of the University of Toronto and McGill University in Montreal. In 1989 she qualified as barrister and solicitor of the Law Society of Upper Canada in Ontario. Since 1990, Christine Batruch has been based in Geneva and has worked in the non-profit, academic and business sectors. From 1990 onward, she worked as a consultant for companies interested in entering the Ukrainian market. From 1992-1995, she participated in the establishment in Ukraine of a number of non-profit institutions linked to the Soros network of foundations. From 1995-1999 she worked at the International Academy of the Environment in Geneva as executive assistant to the director and assistant professor.
She joined Lundin Oil in 1999 as a consultant and became Vice President Corporate Responsibility at Lundin Petroleum in 2002. Since 2009 she has been President of the Geneva Petroleum Club.
