Burden of Peace tells the story of Claudia Paz y Paz, Guatemala’s first female Public Prosecutor, revealing how her battle against corruption, drug gangs and impunity in one of the most violent countries in the world culminated in the arrest of former dictator Efraín Rios Montt, the first ever conviction of a former head of state for genocide in a national court.

The film (2015, 77 minutes, Spanish/English) will be followed by a discussion moderated by Romaine Jean, Editor in chief, RTS, featuring:
