Just two weeks after Brazil's Senate voted to impeach President Dilma Rousseff, the new government of interim president Michel Temer is already beset by scandal and public protests. Where does the country go from here? What scenarios should we anticipate?

Brazilian political scientist Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro has served as the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Burundi, Special Rapporteur on human rights in Myanmar and Chairman of the International Commission of Inquiry for Syria.
